Grandpa Seesaw is a little game I made for the 10th LowRezJam in 2024 The objective is to keep the seesaw as level as possible, this will fill up the green progress bar. The lower your time, the better

More horizontal seesaw = More faster progress fill up

Controls:

  • Left/Right Arrow keys control the grandpa, try to keep your balance!
  • X - Retry

Huzzah! (it might not come through, 28.02s)

Don't worry, I've got a better one >:3

Try to beat my Author time: 17.8s!

17.8s... that's a toughie...

I didn't beat it ;/ The concept here is delightful, but I didn't find either the feedback or the play delightful enough to stick with it.

I found I had a really strong compulsion to reset every time the meter started going down.

The little animations of the hands and the floating cherry blossoms (?) in the background are really pleasant.

’m still really bad at this, but the game itself is a perfect example for a game jam. A simple but good idea executed really well!

Props for having a wheelchair user as a protagonist to the game, and I love all the small little animations you have for the game such as the facial expressions and the little shadows for the seesaw!

Welcome to PICO-8!

118 seconds... it probably wasn't supposed to be as hard as I made it but boy was it. Good entry

This was fun! Great work!
